08:00 - 12:00
Stephanus Church
3 Dr Kenneth Kaunda Street

For 15 years Windhoek has its very own weekly Green Market / Bio-Markt

  • for freshly picked organically grown vegetables and flowers – look out for the markers 'Namibian Organic' or 'Namibian Organic in conversion'
  • other products made without artificial chemicals or colourants: dairy products, meat products, home baked bread and biscuits, honey, jams and juices, eggs, herbs, chutneys etc.
  • crafts, handmade from natural materials such as cotton, wood, wool, seeds, leather, wire, etc.
  • pot plants and flowers in season

The pulse of the Green Market is the Market Café with its delicious cakes, quiches and 'Brötchen' with tasty toppings. Where else can you still get a mug of coffee for N$ 8.00? Every week a different school or welfare organisation takes turns to host the popular Café in order to raise funds for their social projects.
