Brief History: Fell to earth less than 80 000 years ago and is between 190 and 410 million years old. First described by Jacobus Hermanus Britz in 1920 when he was ploughing the field and his plough just came to a halt.
Legal Status: declared national heritage site on 30.04.1979.
