Sun Karros Daan Viljoen is a stylish yet relaxed lodge located within the Daan Viljoen National Park 15 min drive west of Windhoek. Easy assessable by tarmac road this facility offers lodging in 19 modern cozy chalets plus for the adventurer at hart there is a 12 site grass covered campsite with top standard ablutions. Daily scrumptious meals, sweet and savory treats or light meals are served in the restaurant. Guest enjoy a day around the Boma enjoying beverages from the bar and or a cool down in the almost 20m pool. Guests can explore the 4000ha park on foot or with own 4x4 vehicle on the 3 or 9km self guide hiking route and or 6.5 off self drive game route. This is a popular birding destination with over 200 bird species recorded. Game in the park include giraffe, Hartmann's mountain zebra, eland, gemsbok, kudu, warthog, baboons and mongoose to name but a few.\r\nDay visitors to the park are welcome at Sun Karros Daan Viljoen's Boma Restaurant to enjoy breakfast, lunch and or dinner. Reservations are essential.
Our Boma Restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and or dinner daily with the exception of Mondays form 14:00 the Boma Restaurant will be closed to day visitors. Day visitors restaurant bookings are essential.
Entry and Park fees are payable to the Ministry of Environment and Tourism on arrival - only cash. Sun Karros Daan Viljoen guest have the option to pay in either cash and or with Master and Visa cards for services taken.
